Hello, I've got a 2009 Rebel with 12k miles, and I have no carb trouble yet, but I want to keep it clean using Seafoam carb cleaner, soI followed the basic steps, but I've got some questions:

  1. Where exactly do I pour it into the carb?
  2. Is it better to let it sit overnight?
  3. Can I soak the entire carb if needed?
  4. And when adding it to the oil, should I do it during an oil change?

For your 2009 Rebel, pour Seafoam into the carb's fuel bowl or intake as the instructions say,, letting it sit overnight can help but isnt required. If you want to soak the whole carb, remove it first to avoid damage. When adding Seafoam to the oil, do it just before an oil change so it cleans the engine without mixing with old oil too long.
Hope this helps

Have you thought about whether using Seafoam regularly might actually break loose too much gunk at once and cause more issues especially in an older engine that's been running fine without it?
